Biochemist Jamey Mazzotta takes his passion to create innovative haircare products and, along with partners Kornfield and Smith, founds KMS California in Redding, CA.
In 1977 KMS goes global
The next 30 years new logos and products are introduced including: the first professional non-chemical relaxer and KMS molding paste
In 1999 KMS goes through a brand makeover and reorganizes the line into 9 color-coded sub brands
2006 KMS relaunches with an all new look and new formulas, then in 2011 with new packaging we are all familiar with today
KMS California is amongst the favorite lines here at Carter’s Salon. Modified formulas and new innovated products make it easier for stylist to work with and use on their clients. The reorganized color-coded sub brands also make it easier for customers to pick a line that is personalized for their hair.
